Ketamine - Assisted Therapy (KAT)
What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?
KAT is the first legal psychedelic-assisted therapy. While its efficacy is most researched for the treatment of depression and trauma, you don’t have to have a mental health diagnosis to benefit from it. I provide KAT sessions for individuals, age 13 and above, as well as couples.
Many clients report that KAT provides:
A deeper connection to self and more self-compassion
Assistance in navigating and healing traumatic memories or patterns that they’ve struggled to discuss in talk therapy
Reduction in chronic pain, fatigue, and fear
A reset for addictive behaviors
An enhanced sense of purpose, spirituality or creativity
Support around forgiveness and grief
Increases in energy, confidence and self-care
Relief from depression, anxiety and PTSD or CPTSD symptoms
Research tells us that KAT is most effective when it is repeated 3-5 times in close succession. Some clients also require periodic follow-up sessions to maintain their results.

My Approach to Ketamine-Assisted Therapy:
My best recommendation for people interested in KAT is to begin with two to six months of regular psychotherapy. This will give us the time needed to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can truly be yourself with me and the medicine. In my experience, this is profoundly helpful in allowing clients to be fully relaxed during their treatment, cultivate appropriate and powerful intentions for their KAT sessions, and activate new behaviors post-treatment.
However, there are some cases where it is appropriate to move forward with Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy more quickly. While every case is unique, some examples are:
If you have severe depression or PTSD symptoms, have already been in long-term therapy, and your therapist is willing to collaborate with me on your KAT preparation and integration.
If you have substantial experience with psychedelic medicine and are seeking KAT for personal growth reasons.
